Other Information

While living in Italy, I helped set up the Rome branch of Amnesty International, and was responsible for work on Iran.  I taught English to Chilean refugees as part of a rehabilitation scheme.  I also translated many documents for Amnesty, including some written by the Brigate Rosse.

I have travelled extensively and enjoy languages.  I studied Mandarin Chinese at evening classes for two years in Rome (Associazione Italia-Cina).  Also in Rome, I studied German for nine months (Goethe Institut).

I lived in Landskrona, Sweden, for six months, where I attended language classes.  I studied Latin and French at school in England.
